The Efficiency Bar Examination (EB 1) is conducted by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education for officers in Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service andeece and those appointed to Class 3 on a supernumerary basis. The examination is scheduled to be held in February 2026.
It consists of two papers:
(1) Provisions of the Establishments Code and Procedural Rules of the Public Service Commission, and
(2) Financial Administration in Schools and Financial Regulations.
Each paper is of two hours’ duration with a maximum of 100 marks, and the minimum pass mark is 40. The examination is conducted in Sinhala and Tamil languages, and results are published through the official website of the Ministry.
