The Second Efficiency Bar Examination (EB 2) is conducted by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education for officers in Grade II of the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service and those appointed to Class 2 on a supernumerary basis. The examination is scheduled to be held in Colombo in February 2026.
It consists of three papers:
(1) School Administration and Monitoring,
(2) School Planning,
(3) New Trends and Practices of Education.
Each paper is three hours in duration with a maximum of 100 marks, and the minimum pass mark is 40. The examination is conducted in Sinhala and Tamil languages, and the results are published on the official website of the Ministry.
